NDIS Transport in Sydney, NSW
NDIS Transport at WesternCare Enterprise is not just about travel but accompanying you throughout your NDIS Journey
Transport is an essential part of everyday life
The NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) provides a range of support services for people with disabilities in Australia, including transport assistance. If you're eligible for NDIS support, transport may be funded as part of your plan to help you get to and from essential activities, like:
Work or Study – Getting to a workplace or educational setting.
Appointments – Travel to medical, therapy, or other necessary appointments.
Social Participation – Engaging in community, recreational, or social activities.
Accessing Services – Travel to access other services, such as a support worker.
There are two main types of transport funding under NDIS:
Transport funding for participants who need assistance to get to and from everyday activities. This can be funded under the Capacity Building budget or the Core Support budget, depending on your needs.
Transport funding for support workers to travel with you to assist you during your activities, if required.
How NDIS Transport Works at WesternCare Enterprise:
Eligibility: You must be an NDIS participant, and transport may be approved if it is essential to meeting your goals.
Funding: The NDIS may cover the cost of public transport or taxi fares, or provide for a specialized transport service if necessary.
Booking Process: At WesternCare Enterprise we will assist in organising transport, or you can make the arrangements yourself if you have the funding in your plan.
You can discuss transport needs during your NDIS planning meeting to ensure it's included in your plan.
