NDIS In-Home Support Overview

NDIS in-home supports are services designed to help people with disabilities manage daily living tasks within their own homes. These supports are aimed at increasing independence, improving quality of life, and ensuring a safe and functional living environment.

Types of In-Home Supports provided by WesternCare Enterprise:

  1. Personal Care: Assistance with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. This support helps participants manage personal hygiene and appearance.

  2. Domestic Assistance: Help with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and general tidying. This ensures the home remains safe and comfortable.

  3. Nursing Care: Support for health-related needs, including wound care, medication management, and other clinical tasks performed by a registered nurse.

  4. Assistance with Daily Activities: Help with activities like shopping, meal preparation, or managing appointments, aimed at promoting independence in everyday routines.

  5. Support for Social and Community Participation: Assisting with attending appointments, social activities, or other community-based events, either in the home or outside.

Funding for In-Home Supports:

In-home supports are generally funded under the Core Supports - Daily Living category of the NDIS, based on the participant’s needs and goals. This funding allows us to assist with tasks that help the participant live independently and manage daily routines.

How to Access:

To access in-home supports, participants need to request them during their NDIS planning meeting or review. A support coordinator from WesternCare Enterprise can also assist in organising and managing these services.

These supports are tailored to the individual’s specific needs, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to live safely and independently in their own home environment.
